Optical coatings
are used to vary the reflectance and
transmittance of an optical components. Typical
coatings examples include: AR (antireflection
coatings which reduce the amount of light
reflected at a given wavelength or wavelength
range; Filters which allow a given widows
wavelengths to transmit; and HR( high reflective
coatings, used in the production of mirrors.
Coatings are created by depositing dielectric
and metallic materials such as SiO2,TiO2,AL, in
thin layers that are typically equal in
thickness to one-quarter the wavelength of the
light used in the application. These thin films
alternate between layers of high index of
refraction, and low index of refraction, so
inducing the interference effects needed.
China
Optical coatings laboratory,Inc
offers extensive coating capabilities for
optical components and systems operating
throughout the ultraviolet, visible and
infrared ranges. We perform a wide variety
of single and multi-layer coatings
including: broadband, v-coat, polarizing,
metallic, narrow bandpass - and custom
design.
