Introduction to lasers
The basic structure of any laser is based on an active medium ( gas or semiconductors) contained between two reflectors. A laser's reflectors oscillate light back and forth through the medium many times, allowing energy to build up with each pass. This laser radiation escapes due to a partially reflecting mirror in the assembly. Laser light can be used  for a variety of applications.
    The laser wavelength often used:
    Violet Lasers (404nm),   Blue Lasers (475nm), 
    Green Lasers (532nm), 
Red Lasers(633,635,670nm)
  
 Infrared Lasers (780-1600nm)

Laser Grade Optical Substrate Specification
  • Fused Silica or BK7
  • Single or double surface polish
  • Super-polish minimizes subsurface damage
     for high power laser used

 Laser components require highly polished substrates as well as high performance coatings. Scattering of laser light, or worse, laser damage can occur if the substrate is made of inferior material or if it is inadequately polished . Although our coatings may be applied to wide Variety of substrate, we offer a popular selection of laser grade optical substrate.
